Department of Cultural and Intellectual Affairs at Holy Al-Abbas Shrine held its second quarterly meeting of 2026 to discuss plans for visits of months of Muharram and Safar inside corridors of honorable Al-Abbas courtyard.

Meeting witnessed participation of heads of divisions, centers, and units, alongside gathering of affiliates working in Department in holy Karbala governorate.

Head of Department, Seid. Aqeel Al-Yasiri, said: "Periodic meetings represent important station to exchange visions and ideas, and enhance spirit of teamwork among staff of Department, in manner consistent with requirements of institutional work and intellectual and cultural mission of Department."

He added that "Meeting discussed plan for months of Muharram and Safar for year 1448 AH, alongside number of administrative, financial, and organizational files, contributing to organizing efforts and unifying visions in preparation to receive visitors and provide best services to them."

He stressed that "Department is keen to develop work mechanisms and raise level of coordination among its various formations to ensure implementation of intellectual and cultural programs and events according to drawn plans."

This meeting comes within framework of periodic gatherings organized by Department, aiming to monitor work progress and enhance institutional integration among its various formations, contributing to developing performance and achieving cultural and cognitive goals, as well as preparing necessary requirements to ensure success of plans prepared for upcoming million-strong visits.
